The Havana Fire Department is comprised of 17 paid on call members and a fulltime Fire Marshal/Chief. Our services to the community include fire suppression, auto extrication, and high angle rescue, confine space rescue, water fire/rescue and fire prevention activities.
We are an ISO Class 4 department, a member of MABAS Division 66 and members of the Illinois Fire Chiefs Association.
Our rigorous monthly training schedule includes core fire training on the first Wednesday’s and rescue and haz-mat training on the third Tuesday’s.
The Havana Volunteer Fire Department is a 501(c3) organization with LT. Jeremy Frainer serving as President. Business meetings are conducted on the second Tuesday’s of each month beginning at 6:30pm. Our community involvement includes, fire station tours, fire prevention with the safety house, farm safety day in conjunction with 4H, Halloween night out, annual scholarship of $500 for a graduating senior of HHS totaling $12,500 over the lifetime of the scholarship.
